Sander is a kiting entity out on his own. He has a unique and focused outlook to his freestyle kiting. He started flying kites with his brother Ruben back in 1998 at his home beach in Noordwijk, and it went from there. He finished his school and then started to kitesurf a year after his brother. Sander followed his own path in kitesurfing and has created a unique riding style that fits his personality perfectly.
Having finished in the top 5 in the KPWT in 2007, Sander has now moved away from competition and is focusing his attention on big travel plans and photo shoots with a difference? watch this space!! As of this year you will also see Sander in the pilot's seat of the Flexifoil Team airplane as he just finished his pilot's license! We are not scared at all!
