Johara has been an outdoor girl since the beginning. Growing up in North Wales she got involved in every extreme sport going. Johara studied Maritime Leisure Management at University before traveling to Canada. She started kiting that summer in Squamish, BC, and was hooked from the start. She spent the following winter in La Ventana, Mexico, to kitesurf every waking moment.
Since winning the BKSA Pro Ladies tour in 2007, Johara now competes on the PKRA World Tour, finishing 5th overall in 2009, as well as the Kitesurf Tour Europe, where Johara can be found touring the continent in her unmistakable custom van, even on first appearance you can tell this girl is a unique one off! Every year Johara also makes an exodus from the beach to the mountains to compete in the Snowkite Masters and takes some time out to freeride.
When it's not windy, Johara can be found organizing her girl's events alongside managing the Flexifoil Team.
