Repair Information

If your kite gets damaged at any stage during its life, this doesn't have to be the end of your fun. Most rips and tears are repairable and we offer a quick and inexpensive repair service to all our customers. We stock parts for all kites (even older models) and kites sent in for repairs are usually returned within 15 working days of receipt. Please allow more time during peak periods.

All kites returned are examined individually and are repaired using methods which will maintain the performance and durability of your kite.

Please Note: If your kite has very sustained very small superficial damage (a rip of around 2cm or less in a "non-stress" area) you can repair this yourself with our ultra strong repair tape. (Available from Flexifoil dealers) Kites with larger rips or damage near "high-stress" areas should be returned to Flexifoil for repair.

One Month Free Repair

If you are unfortunate enough to damage your new Flexifoil kite within one month of purchase (6 months for the Buzz), we will repair it free of charge. Even if it has been eaten by the dog!

The offer is limited to one free repair within the first month of purchase (6 months for the Buzz).

* Flexifoil's water relaunchable kites (i.e. Ion & Atom), Flexifoil Buggy, Kite landboards, Kite surfboards and flying lines are not covered under the one-month free repair offer.

Repair Service

If you have owned your kite for longer than a month (or longer than 6 months for the Buzz), you can use our normal repair service for which there will be a small charge related to the amount of work we need to carry out.

Flexifoil cannot give estimated costs of repairs via e-mail or telephone. In order to cost the repair correctly we need to physically examine the kite to assess the damage and the required repair.

What To Do To Claim Your Free Repair

+ Do not send the kite to your local dealer as they will not be able to process your claim.
+ Do not include loose, undamaged components like the bag, handles or flying line or any loose spars.
+ Return your kite in a clean & dry (free of sand) condition.
+ Ensure that your kite is properly packaged, stamped, addressed and insured (in case of loss). Flexifoil cannot accept responsibility for kites that fail to arrive or are damaged in transit.

Flexifoil's water relaunchable kites (i.e. Ion, Atom, AH pro), Flexifoil Buggy, Kite landboards and the Kitesurf Boards are not covered under the one month free repair offer.

You Must Include The Following Items

+ The original shop receipt or credit card slip / credit card statement, with name and address of the shop, purchase date, kite type purchased and price paid. If you do not include a valid receipt the kite will NOT be repaired free of charge.
+ The completed free of charge repair voucher
+ Your name, full postal address, daytime contact phone number or email address.
+ A description of the problem and how it was caused
+ Your kite will be repaired or replaced as soon as possible and returned to you completely FREE of charge. (The choice whether to repair or replace your kite rests solely with Flexifoil)

IMPORTANT: If you send us your kitefrom outside the European Community, you must state clearly on the parcel that IT IS A TEMPORARY IMPORT (OF NO COMMERCIAL VALUE) FOR REPAIR PURPOSES AND THAT IT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU AFTER REPAIR. (If this is not done you may be charged import duty.) Flexifoil International is not responsible for any import (or shipping) related charges. Any charges that cannot be claimed back easily will be charged to your credit card prior to shipment.

+ Your kite will be fully examined to ascertain what work is required.
+ We will then contact you, letting you know exactly what work is required and the cost.
+ If you wish to proceed we will request payment. This will be taken via credit or debit card – for security reasons (ideally) these details will be received over the phone. Flexifoil are able to accept all credit debit cards apart from American Express (AMEX).
