The Golden Rules Of Power Kiting

The Golden Rules of Power Kiting

  • Live to fly but never take unnecessary risks.
  • Never underestimate the power of the wind.
  • Read and understand product instructions and safety warnings.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment.
  • Learn to fly your kite in light winds.
  • Observe local rules and regulations before flying your kite.
  • Launch at the edge of the wind window in strong wind.
  • Never fly in winds that are too strong for your skill level or equipment.
  • Check all your equipment for wear and tear before each flight - repair or replace as necessary or ask your local Flexifoil retailer if unsure.
  • Never fly your kite near overhead power cables, telephone lines, trees, roads, airports, cars, railways or fly in extreme weather conditions or at night.
  • Never tether yourself to anything while flying your kite or use power kites for paragliding or parascending.
  • Test the kite safety system on your first flight and use it if you feel you’re losing control of your kite.
  • Select a safe launching and landing area free of people, animals and obstacles.
